Over half way there!!!

The 36ONE MTB Challenge Update www.36one.co.za

My self and Richard both got long rides in this past weekend. I did the Midnight Express Race which is 130km, starting at midnight and riding through the night and Richard also got a 130km plus ride in. When we chatted about the rides we both concluded that 361km is far. Really really far. We did not even ride half of what lays ahead of us at The 36ONE MTB Challenge 2018.

Halfway marks are always good measures, it means what lays ahead of you is less than what has come behind you.

It is with great excitement that we have gone over the halfway mark with our fundraising. We are currently at R32 500. Our goal which seemed as huge as cycling 361km is R60 000. But God is good and we are well on our way. So with 11weeks to go. You still have plenty of time to get your donation in. Either via the link or direct deposit into the 7th Heavens bank account. All funds raised go directly to the Haven.

All donations are tax deductible. Corporate or individual sponsors welcome.

Fundraising update

The 36ONE MTB Challenge 2018 Update:

We are riding 36one km in under 36 hours to raise awareness and school free for 7th Heaven Children’s home.

With just 12 weeks to go until race day, 361km seems in one go seems quite daunting, but like any big challenges in our lives, we take it step by step and day by day. We can easily become overwhelmed by the big picture but when we take it day by day and look at what we can do today we can get through. So we continue training and preparing today for whatever tomorrow holds and hold onto the promise that Christ is sufficient for us.

Luke 12: 34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own”

We have already raised R24700 from direct donations and pledges per KM. Heeding the advice of tomorrows worries, why not donate today while you still have money before you go to McDonald's on the way home.

Found a partner

Two Pastors on bicycles - 361km - 36 hours. I wish that was a start to a joke. Richard and I, Bradley have signed up for it. What would motivate us to take on such a mammoth distance in The 36ONE MTB Challenge 2018 on April the 22nd? Besides our love for cycling and pushing our limits,

We want to create awareness for 7th Heaven Children's Haven. 7th Heaven is a children’s home that cares for abandoned and “children in risk”. They have a number of permanent children, as well as children that are there for different lengths of time

We believe education is key for these children and for giving them the best opportunity to alter the trajectory of their lives. But as we all know, education is not cheap. So we have decided to do the Dryland Event Management 36one MTB challenge as a way to raise awareness of the awesome work being done at the haven but also to use it as a platform to raise money towards school fees and materials needed.

Hence the Pedal for school fees campaign was born.

If you are wanting to get involved you can donate directly to the haven, please use Cycle and your surname as a reference and if you would like a tax invoice, please email proof to info@7thheavenchildrenshaven.co.za

All donations are tax deductible. Corporate or individual sponsors welcome.
