This time we are going to conquer The Great Wall of China – covering 4200 kms in just 90 days. In the process, we also plan to “Ignite Hope” among the youth.

We have 41 days left to go and roughly 1200kms still to cover. A total 4200kms

To date we have taken a total of 3 250 000 steps at an average of 61kms per day.

We have set ourselves a huge target to raise R100k in the next 41 days thats R2439 per day and with your help I know we can do it.

With your help we can put 18 children through surgery at R5500 each and give them their smile back

Through this journey we want to prove to the youth, no matter how insurmountable the challenge is, together we can achieve anything.

In December 2006, I became one of the first people in history to jointly run the entire length of the Great Wall of China in one attempt: 4200 km in 98 days. Now, nearly 12 years later, “the rebel with a new cause” returns to China to run the wall in the opposite direction and to “Ignite Hope” along the way.

“Ignite Hope” is an initiative to create awareness and assist youth suffering from kidney disease, or babies born with a cleft lip and palate. It’s also a call to action which sets out to engage with inspirational individuals to inspire the youth and reignite passion and hope in our lives.
