6 Million Steps - Towards Beating Childhood Cancers

I want to use the opportunity to encourage my audience to support my efforts by donating to the Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa (CHOC).

Fewer people have hiked the entire PCT than have climbed Mount
Everest, and with all the undulating ascents and descents, the hike is
the equivalent of almost 15 ascents of Mt Everest from sea level.
But the challenge is what makes it appealing.

This begins on the 1st of February, when the website and social
media all goes live. The walk will physically begin on the 10th April
2018 to September 2018. I will be hiking The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT),
which starts at at the Mexicanborder town of Campo, CA, and
traverses the length of the USA - through California, Oregon and
Washington, ending at Manning Park, BC, Canada.

Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail - The Journey
I have always known boundaries are there to be broken.
I want to share this story and give hope and inspiration to those
that have wrestled with feelings of fear, doubt and misdirection. I
want to open up doors and ignite a sense of discovery and adventure
in other people by showing them that if I can do it, then so can they!
I am living proof that any person of any age, and from any walk of
life can achieve (or at least give it their best shot) something they’ve
always wanted to do. I want to show people that the depth they believe
they really have within them is a light, and that as human beings, we
owe it to ourselves to let that light shine!

I also want to use the opportunity to encourage my audience to
support my efforts by donating to the Childhood Cancer Foundation
South Africa (CHOC). The symbol of this journey is of a little boy
holding a balloon, a representation of a friend’s first-born child who
lost the struggle with brain cancer.
