Four Western Province Nomads will be playing 15 rounds of golf on 15 golf courses in and around Cape Town in 5 days from 11 to 15 December 2018. These intrepid golfers will be playing as a single 4-ball.
They will be allowed to take a golf cart for one round per day and must walk the other two. 54 holes per day for a grand total of 270 holes in 5 days!
The target is to raise a total of R500000 which will be donated to CHOC.
The Golfing Cows:
Carl Potgieter (Cappy Moo): He hits the ball so short that you can still see the number when it’s finished rolling but boy can he putt! Carl has lost more than 100kgs to get ready for this event.
Brent Lyall (Smashy Moo): Hit it miles and take it from there. Brent is the other B Division golfer in the group. He works hard on his game and you can expect him to make lots of birdies.
Werner Theart (Gymy Moo): One of the most capped provincial players ever. The best golfer in the gang. This chap can play!
Rob Larsen (Lefty Moo): The team’s resident lefty and qualified rules official. Having returned to the amateur ranks, he will be handing out some lessons.
Team Manager: Ken Walker (Grampy Moo): One of the most respected men in South African amateur golf. He is going to have his hands full making sure these Cows are where they need to be when they need to be there!
