The Third Annual Home from Home Amble

This is the third year that we will be holding this beautiful coastal walk, a round trip from Kommetjie to Scarborough and back of 21km. You don't need to do the whole thing, you can do just one leg of 10.5km. The point is to enjoy the scenery with old friends and new and raise awareness for this great local and national charity. There is no entry fee but donations as always are gratefully received via givengain or cash on the day. All you need to do is bring R6 for the entrance fee to Soetwater Nature Reserve, plenty of water and a cozzie incase you feel the need to cool off in a rock pool along the way.

Here is idea of how far your donations will go.

R150 (9 pounds) - this will cover a birthday present for one child.

R300 (18 pounds) - this will cover our clothing budget for one child per month

R500 (31 pounds) - this will cover extra mural activities for one child for one term

R800 (50 pounds) - we aim to provide each child with two hours of tutoring per week, this will cover a month.

R1,200 (75 pounds) - this buys a family a food hamper filled with essentials and of course some delicious treats that the children can enjoy over the long school holidays.

R1,800 (112 pounds) - this will allow one family to go on one outing over the December school holidays. We would love for our families to be able to enjoy some family bonding time at Ratanga Junction, the Science Centre or to take a trip on the Red Bus Tour together.

Rand /Pound exchange rate is permanently fluctuating so these conversions are very approximate!!
