Home from Home Amble

Last year a number of you helped me complete my triple challenge that I did for Home from Home by walking from Kommetjie to Scarborough and back. We managed to raise over seven thousand rand. I enjoyed it so much that I thought we should do it again on the 22nd November at 8am starting at the Kom in Kommetjie. You don't need to do the full 21km, just do a leg of 10km. The point is to enjoy the scenary, be with friends, make new ones and raise awareness for Home from Home. There is no entry fee but all donations are gratefully as always received and can be made through this website or on the day. All you need to bring is R6 entry fee for the nature reserve, a cozzie (in case you want to cool off in a rock pool), water and snacks.

If you would like to make a donation here are some ideas of its value.

R200 (10 pounds) will buy a Christmas present for a child.

R500 (25 pounds) will buy clothes for a child.

R1000 (50 pounds) will cover 10 birthdays.

R1,500 (75 pounds) will cover a weeks worth of meals for a house

R3000 (150 pounds) will cover bunk beds for two children to sleep on

R5000 (250 pounds) will cover a stove and a fridge for a new home,

Hope to see you and your friends there.
