Qhubeka is an Nguni word that means “to carry on” or “to move forward" and also the name of a South African non-profit that helps people move forward through the power of the bicycle. Having a bicycle changes people's lives by increasing the distance they can travel, what they can carry, where they can go and how fast they can get there. It has positive impacts on communities, livelihoods, and academic results.
