The Eden District was harshly damaged by the wildfire in 2017. This was due to an unprecedented drought and the uncontrolled spread of alien plant species. It damaged a wide area and destroyed a precious ecosystem in the well-known Garden Route. Local environmental and social actions already took place and they have a sensible impact. However, much more needs to be done to secure the future of this area.
Greenpop is trying to restore this precious forest through the Eden Festival of Action which takes place from the 23rd of June to the 15th of July.
This Event is not just about planting trees. It is also about learning how to live in a sustainable way.

What are the impacts of the Eden Festival of Action?
1. Planting around 10,000 trees for a great reforestation plan
2. Cleaning the Garden Route of the alien plant species
3. Building long-lasting and eco-friendly building using natural and upcycling skills.
4. Raising environmental awareness thanks to urban greening
5. Bringing joy and inspiration through Environmental Art.

How can you get involved?
Donations could change the situation. The cost of a Tree is only R120. A Few clicks can have a great impact on a fantastic forest and allow it to survive.
A lot of small contributions lead to a great Achievement.

Thank you for your contribution.
