Described as the Tour de France of mountain biking and accredited as 'hors categorie' (beyond categorisation) by the Union Cycliste Internationale, The Cape Epic is an 8 day mountain bike stage race held in South Africa. It attracts elite professional mountain bikers from around the world who compete in teams of two. To qualify for a finish, teams have to stay together for the duration of the race. A number of entries are kept open for amateurs.

We are riding under the banner of a local charity, The Anna Foundation, whose primary objective is to address the educational and social needs of rural children and to offer them life-long learning to build positive self-worth and self-respect.

All of our entry costs and all other costs are being met by us and so everything raised goes direct to the charity.
