56 trees

I am running the Two Oceans Ultra marathon on 4 April 2015 and for every km I run I want to donate a tree. The race is 56km and therefore hoping to raise 56 trees (or more!)

Trees cost ZAR 120 / USD 13 / EUR 10 / GBP 8 each, but absolutely any amount will go towards the project. Greenpop (and hopefully me) will be planting around 3500 indigenous and fruit trees in deforested areas and at schools around Livingstone, and working with local community members to share and learn about the importance of trees and the environment. In addition, we will be promoting alternative energy resources, setting up micro tree nurseries around the community, and hosting workshops about conservation farming. This project is part of an ongoing campaign to make Livingstone a greener and more sustainable environment. For more details, visit the website www.greenpop.org
