MAD2Cycle 2018 will be the first official year of this unique cycle tour. This journey is unlike any other cycle tour in that it is 50% on the road and 50% off the road, requiring both a road and mountain bike. With each day comes a new terrain; and each day the peloton will ride between 140 km and 250 km in the quest to reach Cape Town in just seven days.

About the MAD foundation:

Francois Pienaar and a group of like-minded individuals shared a vision to develop academically talented scholars with leadership potential into future leaders for South Africa. Make A Difference Leadership Foundation NPC* was formed in 2003 to realise this ambition to transform South Africa – one scholar at a time. Francois Pienaar was appointed as the Founding Chairman and 15 businessmen made a personal commitment to the organisation and were appointed Members.

Make A Difference Leadership Foundation (MAD Leadership Foundation) aims to provide access to quality education and leadership development opportunities by supporting high school learners and tertiary students comprehensively, throughout their academic and personal journeys, and ensuring they have the necessary tools and opportunities to reach their full potential as future leaders of South Africa. We focus on identifying talented scholars, who do not have the necessary financial resources, and offer them long-term support in the areas of education, leadership, mentorship, wellness and life-skills development.

Any donation to this noble cause will be greatly appreciated. My goal is to raise at least R30000 by the end of March 2018. Our team's mission is to channel as much of the donations into the charity as possible and have taken it upon ourselves to spend as little on support and accommodation as possible to ensure this.
