Located in the heart of Gugulethu, our Siyazingisa After School Centre stands proudly as our flagship centre.  Hosting approximately 300+ children every Monday - Thursday from 15h00 to 17h00 can be quite a challenge, but it's one we're passionate to undertake.  Without the programmes we offer, children in this community are more suceptible to drugs, crime, violence and other substance abuse.  We've chosen the crucial time between the end of the school day and dinner to keep these learners in creative classes which not only improve their skill set, but help them grow in to well-rounded individuals who can contribute to society in positive ways.

Siyazingisa currently offers classes in:

8. Drama
9. Marimba
10. Literacy
11. Foundation Phase
12. Hockey

15. Cricket
16. Senior Phase

As impressive as this sounds, our desire is to have the capacity to reach every single underprivileged child in the area.  This is where YOU come in!  :)

Part of our mission is not only to reach marginalized children, but also to provide employment to underprivileged people in the community by offering them the chance to teach classes.  However, without sufficient funds, we cannot grow and expand.  Please consider supporting our expansion and continuing work at the Siyazingisa After School Centre so that these children do not turn into another statistic.

If you can't support with direct finance, we also accept donations of new and/or gently used items such as music systems (for our dance classes), djembes, and books and crayons (for our Foundation Phase).
