The illegal killing of wild animals in South Africa and the rest of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) poses an urgent threat to their survival and involves enormous cruelty, untold suffering, pain and death for individual animals, family groups and social networks. This project will undertake a comprehensive investigation into poaching, wildlife crimes and the illegal trade of wild animals in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Swaziland and Mozambique is envisaged.
