The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation has informed us that there was a typographical error in its report The ANC: Still a Home for All? The quote attributed to Pallo Jordan, which the Foundation used in full in its article - The End of Non-Racialism? - should have read:

"The movement adopted as policy the conscious and deliberate de-racialisation of South Africa by undertaking a host of measures, among which are affirmative action..." rather than,  "The movement adopted as policy the conscious and deliberate re-racialisation of South Africa by undertaking a host of measures, among which are affirmative action... "

We have amended the text of our article accordingly - even though the practical effect of "the host of measures, among which are affirmative action" that the ANC has taken in its efforts to de-racialise South Africa has, in the experience of many South Africans from minority communities, led to the de facto re-racialisation of our society.
