Fezeka Educare Centre was started in 1991 by Violet Nomdumiso Nkayi. Her initiative and dedication to the kids in the Nomzamo area has been tireless ever since.

Kids at Fezeka Educare Centre face many challenges:

• They are from desperately poor families (In 2001, average household annual income was R0.00 - R25,490.03 and conditions have not improved much since then - StatsSA, Census 2001).
• Violent crime is incredibly high (1 murder every 11 days, 1 rape every 4 days and HSPC reports that after 6.00pm, it is unsafe to send a child outdoors, for fear of violence or theft - SAPS Stats 2010/2011 and HSPC).
• Many parents have not had schooling (In 2001, 26.11% - 69.21% of adults over 20 years old in Lwandle had no schooling - StatsSA, Census 2001).

Unfortunately in 2011 between April and September, numerous, spontaneous and devastating fires burnt through the school destroying everything. Your help is needed!

Get Fezeka kids educated by donating:

• 120.00 ZAR (+/- $15) per month for one kids school fees.
• Donate 24,000.00 ZAR (+/- $3000.00) once off to build one classroom. Feel free to donate 1/2, 1/4, etc. of a classroom :-)
• Donate to restocking the Fezeka furniture, resources and equipment.
