Our vision is to see that every child experience life in all its fullness.
But in order to get closer to realizing our vision, we need businesses, individuals and the public at large – people like you – to come alongside us and become advocates for our cause.
World Vision strives to tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice, especially as they affect children. For more than 45 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of development work here in South Africa by fighting the causes as well as the symptoms of suffering – always through measurable goals and outcomes. World Vision South Africa operates in six of the nine provinces in about 20 communities. Through our consistent and dedicated work we are today impacting on over a million people’s lives in our development interventions.
As you can imagine, World Vision is an eyewitness to heartbreaking suffering in some of the harshest and most difficult circumstances in the world. In South Africa, lots need to be done to fight poverty. Our country is one of the leading ones in terms of income disparity. And so, facing the tremendous needs – also at urban level – we work hard to stand in the gap; to act boldly for children; to be the voice for children and communities against deepening poverty, disease, abuse, and injustice.
WVSA invites you to take our hand and journey with us at whichever level you choose to make your contribution.
