The target set for this project has been reached. The support has been exceptional and all costs related to Denver’s medical expenses will be met. Full details and how we plan to go forward with the campaign will be posted on the Friends of Chintsa website shortly.

On Friday 22nd July Denver Struwig was attacked by a shark while out surfing. Denver survived the attack and is healing slowly but surely at home in Chintsa.

The Denver Struwig Shark Attack Fund has been set-up to assist Denver in paying his medical fees which have amounted to over R 35 000. On 6th August the Country Bumpkin restaurant in Chintsa will host the D-Day fundraising dinner - MC'd by famous surfer Greg Emslie & the D man himself! Dinner is served at 6.30pm and costs R150 per head with R90 of this going directly into the Shark Attack fund. 25% of the bar takings from the event will also go into the fund while other local businesses - the Barefoot Cafe & Michealas Restaurant- will be donating 40% of their bar takings on the 6th August.
