Global Challenge Expeditions specialises in creating unique opportunities for growth and leadership development. Having established various outreach programs national and international over the past four years, we know it is time to invest back in the community of Jeffreys Bay.

Many of our participants are qualified teachers with a strong calling to disciple and invest in the lives of young and upcoming leaders. Combine this with the growing need for a High School in Jeffreys Bay and you have a recipe for an exciting and potentially life changing educational institution…

Philosophy: The ethos of the Global Leadership Academy (GLA) will be bluntly Christian with a focus on authentic faith and servant leadership. We want to equip young leaders to live within the world having influence and compassion.

GLA aspires to be an institution of which the bar of  academic standards and character building is raised.

From the outset we welcome scholars from all backgrounds and we will do our utmost to serve the local community through various projects built into our curriculum.

Location: For a start we will be located in the Equinox Mall. The whole of Shop 45 will undergo transformation in the coming weeks and we will be able to boast with our own main entrance, well equipped classrooms, reception and computer room come January 2010!

Curriculum: At GLA we intended to develop each student’s full leadership potential and ensure that at the end of five years every scholar is well equipped for the life ahead.

The act of “travel” is central to the heart of Global Challenge Expeditions and in the same way we have it in mind that our students will have the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures through travelling. We envision that as part of Grade 11 all students will have the opportunity to embark on a journey of discovery. Whether national or international.

As department head at DF Malherbe High School and also principal during the establishment of an Edu College in Port Elizabeth she has more than enough experience to also establish another academy of excellence.
