Nutrition is going to be key to me successfully riding a single geared bicycle over 1500 km… uphill, and I am more than ecstatic to announce that USN (Ultimate Sports Nutrition is what it stands for) has officially jumped on board the One Gear bus (there isn’t actually a bus – that’s the next sponsorship we will be looking to secure, but you get the proverbialness of the statement). USN has already got amazingly involved and is currently putting together a plan to ensure that I am all nutritioned up both for the extensive training I am going to have to do as well as for the ride itself!

Francisco Andre is a guy I have never met…and he has just donated R1000 to the One Gear cause! I began One Gear as a way for me to expel what I thought were altruistic charitable energies but I realize now that no effort is truly altruistic. You always get something out of it for yourself.
