About this Project

We have returned from Zambia - and after 3 weeks of hard graft we planted over 4100 trees in and around Livingstone.

Huge emphasis was placed on educating the youth of the area and getting them excited about trees. The community also committed to our cause and accepted us with open arms.

Thank you for all your support!

For three weeks in July 2012, Greenpop is hosting an exciting reforestation project in Livingstone, Zambia; the country with the second highest deforestation rate in the world. We will be planting between 5000 and 10000 indigenous and fruit trees within the Victoria Falls World Heritage Site, Dambwa Forest, and at schools around Livingstone.

In addition, we will set up workshops at schools and with local farmers on sustainable living and conservation issues. This will be the start of an ongoing campaign to make Livingstone a greener and more sustainable environment.

Please contribute to this project by gifting a tree – or lots of trees! We greatly appreciate anything you can offer. Every tree counts!

Trees cost ZAR120 / USD 15 / EUR 12 /GBP 10 each & I'm aiming to get 200 trees! Although absolutely any amount will go towards the project.
